Should You Use (Or Buy) AntiVirus Software?

Windows comes with its own antivirus software called Defender which is perfectly capable as long as you are cautious about where you travel on the internet.  Mac's have many built in security features that also are perfectly suitable for regular consumer use.

The answer is in: You don't need extra antivirus software, and you definetly should not be paying for antivirus software. Antivrius could actually end up hurting your computer in the long run.

If the antivirus company goes out of business, or doesn't consistenly keep up with Windows and/or Mac updates the antivirus could stop working, or even slow down your computer.
